Dawn dives, afternoon dives, night dives whatever you want the choice is yours. Check in with the dive team at the Sunset Divers to check out a map of the shore site and enjoy the highlights that the site has to offer. All dive packages include daily two-tank boat trips to a grand variety of sites, including those voted on by the divers aboard. Divers also have 24/7 access to shore entry, and are welcome to partake in night dives. Housekeeping came each morning while we were out on the dive boat.
Packages & Rates
Cover up in public areas, especially on the streets of George Town. There are no nude beaches, and public nudity, including topless bathing, is strictly prohibited by law. Visitors will want to wear smart casual tropical resort wear at most restaurants. When attending church, ‘Sunday dress’ is appropriate — that is, no shorts or t-shirts. Avoid profanity in public — it is very much frowned upon.

But while we’re scuba diving-friendly, our non-diving packages mean you don’t have to be a diver to stay here. The one obvious weakness to my setup was the very short strobe arm, which was demonstrated by hand holding the strobe. Of course they were able to sell me a much better solution. Overall it was an enjoyable and very informative day. While it was pricey I felt I got full value as I now had a very good foundation on which to build.

Paradise Reef
We have a range of accommodation options, including well-appointed Courtyard Rooms, slightly larger Ocean View Rooms and Suites, and two Studio-style Apartments with full kitchens. The maximum occupancy in each room is four including any children. If your party is over four people, then please add another room to your booking. At its shallowest, Devil’s Grotto is only 14ft (four metres) deep, so it’s also a popular snorkelling spot. The maximum depth here is 50 feet (15 meters) and there is easy access from the shore. January and February are the coolest months with daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s.

The islands are cooled by prevailing trade winds, but the sun is hot and we advise always to wear coral-friendly sunscreen, a shady hat and sunglasses. Please take the sun in small doses to avoid sunburn. Nothing ruins a great dive vacation quicker than a bad sunburn. You should pay attention to dress code etiquette in the Cayman Islands, as it remains a ‘proper’ British crown colony and its residents are often conservative in dress and manners. Avoid wearing bathing suits or scanty beachwear outside of beach areas.
The public bus terminal is located adjacent to the Public Library on Edward St in downtown George Town and serves as the dispatch point for buses to all districts. For a small additional fee of CI$1–$3, it is possible to ask the driver to deviate a little from the bus route. Sunset House is not on a regular bus route, so just ask your driver if he will deviate from his route for a few extra dollars. We do have a local bus driver that we can call to collect from the resort on occasion.
